Wedding in the Pope Adrian IV house, Utrecht

Stedelijke bruiloft

What happens when a couple decides to marry in the house of the first and only Dutch Pope.

The facts:
– The first and only Dutch Pope Adrian IV (2 March 1459 ‒ 14 September 1523) built this house but never actually lived in it.
– Louis Napoléon Bonaparte resided in this house for 4 months.
– In 1985 this house was visited by Pope Saint John Paul II.

The amazing part is: it is now permitted to have your wedding here!

The pros:
Beautiful classic interiors, where everyone and everything becomes noble.
Big spaces and facilities for big weddings.
The utmost center of Utrecht.

The keys to success of this wedding:
The combo of the beautiful location plus the casual walks through the city.
A little romantic boat trip of 20 minutes that the couple will never forget.
An opening dance that leads to every guest beginning to dance.
Cute bridesmaids
Happy and emotional faces of the quests at the ceremony. Almost nobody filmed the happening with smartphones, everybody was feeling the happiness. Look at those expressions, not covered by smartphone screens!
